The Daishin Securities Alternative Exchange MTS design development project was initiated to enhance investment convenience and improve information accessibility for users, while also providing a diverse trading environment. With the launch of the NXT alternative exchange, MTS has undergone significant transformations, incorporating new features and enhancements to ensure that existing users can navigate both the KRX and NXT exchanges seamlessly.
The elements are positioned on the left and right sides of the master area to facilitate a convenient comparison of the current prices from the two exchanges. Colors and labels are distinctly differentiated based on the selected exchange, enabling users to intuitively comprehend the information presented. Furthermore, the inclusion of an automatically scrolling Notice Bar allows for the display of various stock information, in addition to credit, lending, and margin details, thereby enhancing the overall structure to support user guidance and operational notifications.
The recently introduced mid-price feature employs a green hue to provide visual emphasis, thereby facilitating the identification of the current price's balance point. Furthermore, transactions occurring during designated periods, such as single-price trading, are highlighted in purple to distinctly differentiate them from standard trading activities. This design choice enables users to intuitively comprehend the time zone represented on the current screen, thereby minimizing the cognitive load necessary for information retrieval.
The quotation window is offered in three configurations: total, left-right, and top-bottom. Users may select the layout that best aligns with their trading style and navigation preferences.
Stock ordering must ensure continuity and familiarity in user experience. Therefore, we conducted an analysis of user usage patterns and identified the essential components required. We structured the design to minimize confusion by optimizing visual elements, enabling users to easily identify the most advantageous trading methods among SOR, KRX, and NXT. This approach mitigates the learning curve for existing users, even with the introduction of new features, thereby providing a stable ordering experience that facilitates adaptation without undue burden.
The exchange spread is intended to offer real-time insights into the current price differentials and gap rates between KRX and NXT for each stock, thereby enabling users to promptly identify stocks exhibiting significant price discrepancies and capitalize on trading opportunities. Furthermore, through an organic integration with existing lightning orders, users can seamlessly transition order flow from the exchange spread and execute buy and sell orders without the need to access a separate order interface. This interconnected framework facilitates strategic trading by leveraging market gaps and fosters an efficient trading environment.
KRX employed a reliable turquoise hue, while NXT utilized a vibrant yellow shade. These two colors, representing trust and positivity, establish a distinct contrast that enhances the clarity of information recognition and offers users an intuitive visual experience.
